Content Marketing: Making Videos (3)
Updated: Dec 20, 2019
Hi! I’m Aaron, and I make videos at SketchUp.
For a few years now, we have been making short-form (less than 10 minute) videos called Skill Builders. I film them once per week and they are released via our YouTube page. These videos, at this point, see the most customer engagement of any recurring content we release, being viewed thousands of times and averaging dozens of comments in the first week of posting.
At first, it may seem that these are just quick videos that are filmed and released to YouTube, but there is actually a very carefully tailored plan in place and each of these videos are thought through before any work is done.
To enable you, our partners, to create your own content, I've put together a detailed guide is to teach you how we go about planning, recording, editing, and releasing these videos, as well as what we do to gauge the success of a video and how we use them for customer engagement.
The idea here is not to spoon-feed you the exact steps to create your own videos but to help get you started. We are hoping that you will be able to use the general framework that we have used to create some very popular and useful videos to jumpstart your own SketchUp video content creation program.
With that, let’s hop right in, access the guide here! If you have any questions, ask away in the comments below.
